Art Classes

-Friday after school open studio art class is from 3:30-5:00. This is an opportunity for kids eight years of age and up to make art in a casual, loosely structured environment with a variety of 2D mediums. Students can pursue they’re own creative muse or choose a subject-specific art challenge. A light snack is provided. Open studio cost is $20 per head.

Parents Night Out  is from 5:45-8:45. This consists of an art activity, dinner, and an age appropriate art movie/film-short or game. Cost is $30 per kid.

  

High School level classes are from 4:00 to 6:00 on both Wednesday and Thursday. Lessons incorporate art history, content development, compositional design, and art-making. Accommodation is made for beginner through advanced skill level; students can also opt for independent study during this time that is more self-directed. Cost is $25 per class session or $85 per month.

WEEK DAY K-12 CLASSES FOR NON-SCHOOL BASED AND HOMESCHOOL KIDS

K-4th grade classes are from 9:00-11:00 Wednesdays. Students will be engaged in an art-making activity that is based on an art-historical artist or art movement (for example, Matisse and the Fauvists of the early 20th century). Class time is divided between learning about the artist and the period of history they are from; a teacher demonstration on the art-making process; student art-making; and a snack break. The last portion of the class will be a wind down period where students will be able to view kid-friendly art video while others finish up. Class cost is $25 per weekly class or $85 per month. All materials/snacks included.

5th-8th grade classes are from 12:-2:00 on Thursdays.  Students will be engaged in an art-making activity that is based on an art-historical group of artists or art movement (for example, Picasso and the Cubists of the early 20th century). Class time is divided between learning about the artist and the period of history they are from; a teacher demonstration on the art-making process; student art-making; and a snack break. The last portion of the class will be a wind-down period during which students will be able to view an age appropriate art video while others finish up or work on an . Class cost is $25 per weekly class or $85 per month. All materials/snacks included.
